Artist, Writer, and Nature Lover

Renée DeVincent is a children’s author and illustrator inspired by nature, storytelling, and a lifelong love of creativity. Born on an Army base in Savannah, Georgia, she grew up in a military family where frequent moves made books and art a constant source of comfort and imagination.

With a background in counseling (M.Ed.) and experience in grant and technical writing, Renée blends education with creativity to create engaging stories and learning experiences for children. She also holds a degree in Graphic Design/Illustrations, which informs her vibrant, full-color work.

Reading with her daughters inspired her debut picture book, Twiggy and the Lost Socks. Through her lighthearted, rhyming stories and nature-inspired artwork, Renée encourages self-awareness, kindness, and a love of learning.

She lives in Kansas with her husband of 30 years, their children, and a lively collection of animals. When she’s not writing or illustrating, she enjoys gardening, exploring nature, and finding inspiration in the world just outside her door.
